Variety: 100% Albariño.
Appearance: Clear, bright gold. Surprisingly youthful for its age.
Nose: Very expressive aroma, sweet spices, creamy oak, herbs, with honeyed notes and fruity expression.
Palate: Dry. The palate is slightly fatty, hints of smoke on the aftertaste, tasty, fresh, good acidity and very balanced and elegant.
Vinification: 50+ year old vines. Manually harvested, destemmed, and aged in stainless steel with lees for 5 years. A mature Albariño, subtle on the nose, but expressive and alive on the palate. A wine that will continue to evolve and develop more complexity with time. Bottled in September 2015. Only 4,000 bottle production.
Recommended Food Pairing: Clams in a saffron broth. Seared scallops in a brown butter sage sauce.
