    Appearance: Clear and deep ruby colored.

    Nose: Aromas of blackcurrants appears alongside red roses and some earth and spice.

    Palate: Dry, full-bodied. juicy notes of ripe berries are accented by soft touches of sweet spice and violet on the palate.

    Vinification: Alejandro Fernández began planting these vineyards in 1987, along the Douro river. The climate in this area is Mediterranean with a continental influence. Aged in American oak for 15 months and an additional 6 months in bottle before release.
