Palate: Dry. Medium bodied with juicy, preserved red fruit flavors, vibrant acidity & soft tannins.
Vinification: Hand harvested from two hectares of younger, organically farmed vines that are separated into three different plots. Hand harvested & selected before being fermented in whole clusters in stainless steel with 5 days skin contact. Aged 12 months in used French oak, where spontaneous malolactic fermentation occurs, before being bottled slightly filtered, and zero sulfites. Made by Manuel Valenzuela, at the helm of the natural winery, Barranco Oscuro, in the south of Spain near Granada. These vineyards are the highest in Europe, and have dry soils, poor shale, with low rainfall and are grown in a natural way. Born from the stubbornness of a man who wanted to fulfill his dream.
