Varieties: 70% Monastrell, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Syrah.
Appearance: Clear, deep purple-ruby.
Nose: Clean, pronounced notes of Asian spices, sandalwood, underbrush, blueberry, and blackberry.
Palate: Dry, full-bodied and intense volume with luscious berries, dusty & chewy tannins, and a very long finish.
Vinification: Sustainable farming of 25 year old vines at an altitude of 750 meters. Aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels, 500 litres. The 2008 marks a very important vintage for winemaker Jose Maria, where he stopped adding Cabernet Sauvignon.
Recommended Food Pairing: Roasted pork, morcilla, steak, grilled meats or heavy stews.
