Varieties: 70% Monastrell & 30% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Appearance: Clear, deep ruby.
Nose: Clean, pronounced aromatically. Blackberry & plum aromas mingled with violet, rose & smoky gravel notes.
Palate: Dry. Full-bodied. A massive wine with a generous mouthfeel, densely packed with jammy black fruit, blackberries, creme de cassis, exotic spices, pepper, dark chocolate, espresso, graphite, hints of lavender & well-integrated toasted oak. A rich, full-bodied wine with a plush texture & polished tannins. The spice-tinged finish is long & mouth coating.
Vinification: Consistently well-rated and highly sought after by collectors year after year, this being no exception. A combined effort of several wine industry professionals including Bodegas Juan Gil, Jorge Ordonez, and Chris Ringland (one of Australia's top enologists). Aged 26 months in new oak.
Recommended Food Pairings: Lentils, wild rice & shiitake mushrooms.
