  • Varieties: 85% Tempranillo, 15% Garnacha. Appearance: Deep rich cherry-color. Nose: Clean fruit-forward aromas with some balsam and toast. Palate: Dry. Smooth and well balanced, there are hints at ripe berries, savory fine tannins (from years of careful aging) and a hint of fine wood. Vinification: 40 year old Tempranillo vines from 500mt vineyards on loamy calcium-rich soil, and 60 year old Garnacha on sandy alluvial soil. Wine spends 16 months in French & American oak and a minimum of 6 additional months in bottle in the cellar before release. Recommended Food Pairing: Burgers, a perfect pepperoni pizza, or a classic Rioja for a night of Tapas.
