Varieties: 50% Graciano & 50% Tempranillo Peludo.
Appearance: Clear. Ruby with brilliant reflections.
Nose: Clean. Pronounced on the nose, perfumed. Black fruit, cherry & plum aromas with herbaceous notes.
Palate: Dry & medium bodied with consistent freshness across the palate, concentrated black fruit flavors & grainy tannins.
Vinification: Hand harvested from 90-year-old vines planted in calcareous, clay soils in Rioja Alavesa. Spontaneously fermented, separately, in 225L French oak then aged up to 13 months 225 & 500L French oak before being bottled unfined & unfiltered. Aged 10 years in bottle.
Recommended Food Pairing: Pan-fried grouse with roasted pumpkin, beets & artichoke.
