Palate: Dry. Medium-bodied. Toast, dark chocolate & licorice flavors frame black cherry & plum fruit in this expressive red, accented by herbaceous & mineral notes. Broad but graceful, with integrated tannins & firm acidity. The palate is fresh with a long aftertaste, sappy and expansive with a persistent finish & grainy tannins.
Vinification: Drink now through 2021. 9,000 cases made. A modern Bierzo from vines planted in clay soils on gentle slopes. Aged 9 months in French oak.
Recommended Food Pairing: Idiazabal cheese or roast duck.
