Variety: 100% Tempranillo.
Appearance: Clear, deep ruby-cocoa hued.
Nose: Clean, pronounced notes of dark berries, cherry cola, & toast.
Palate: Dry. Full-bodied. With rich concentration and volume. Gently sweet blackberry and cherry-cola flavors that re firmed and lifted by juicy acidity and there is a decidedly smoky note on the finish. Best with a decant.
Vinification: From declassified Toro vines owned by Grupo Pesquera, this is aged two years in new American oak barrels, bottled unfiltered and further cellared in their cold underground caves until fit for release. Vintages are never in succession, so the result is a wine with great age, complexity and price!
Recommended Food Pairing: Beef brisket, carnitas, or smoked pork.
