Alberto Orte’s seamless blend of native varieties from 30-year-old vines growing at high elevation (500-750m) is a real eye opener.  In a region now known for white wines, this bottling harkens back to a past when red was king.  Whole cluster, aged in French oak for 15 months.  Mineral and smoke, blue and black fruits, violet and spicy, saline - a revelation.
