Val de Rodrigo comes from a vineyard of its namesake, made from 80-year-old vines in the Bibei valley.  Planted on a steep slope, hence only hand-harvested. Wild yeast fermented with 2 weeks of skin maceration in French oak, then aged for a year.  Rich and ripe, earthy and a bit untamed, with spicy red fruit and wild spice.
