Varieties: 85% Tempranillo, 10% Graciano, 5% Mazuelo & Garnacha. Appearance: Deep garnet red. Nose: Intense nose of red fruits, some smoke, cloves. Palate: Medium to full-body, fresh, with a spiced finish. Well balanced, fine, with juicy tannins. Vinification: Manually harvested in Laserna, near the town of Laguardia in the Rioja Alavesa. Grapes are destemmed, fermented in stainless steel and aged in older French & American oak for 2 years. 3+ years in bottle in aging in the underground cellar. From a fantastic vintage for aging or drinking now. Recommended Food Pairing: Roasted game, Guinea Hen or goose.
