  • Varieties: 30% Doña Blanca, 30% Treixadura, 30% Verdeo & 10% Monstruosa de Monterrei.

    Appearance: Clear. Deep lemon with brilliant reflections.

    Palate: Nuanced & austere. Medium-bodied on the palate, mouth filling & coating; with notes of fennel & wet stone flavors. Clean, fine acidity throughout making for long & intense flavor.

    Vinification: This is a wine crafted entirely from indigenous varieties, in the warmest and driest appellation of Galicia. With minimal intervention, Jose Luis Mateo showcases this unique terroir, highlighting the freshness and minerality of Monterrei, which is the region that is furthest from the Atlantic Ocean. Farmed organically, produced in small quantities. Aged in stainless steel.

    Recommended Food Pairing: Great pair with shellfish & chicken dishes with Spanish & Pan-Asian spices.
