From 135-year-old vines of Malvasia, Verdejo, Puesta en Cruz and Palomino on ancient terraces at 600-650m in the Arribes del Duero natural park reserve that Laura farms collaboratively with owner Angel Mayor. The co-planted grapes are hand-harvested, destemmed and partially pressed after about a week of skin contact, wild yeast fermented and raised in used chestnut barrels and clay amphorae for one year.  Substantial, aromatic, mineral-driven white, apples and pears, mellowed by the chestnut barrels.  Wonderful imbibing.
