Venus La Universal is a small grower project from winemakers Sara Pérez and René Barbier. The 2023 Dido Blanco is a deeply textured wine due to brief skin contact. Grapes are sourced 4 hectares (belonging to small growers)of young (25 yrs.) and old (75 yrs.) vines from Falset and Marçà with a small bit of their own fruit thrown in. Fermented with native yeasts and aged for roughly one year split between oak foudres and amphorae. Orchard fruit, citrus, chalk, salinity, mineral core - ravishing.
