Parés Baltà is a family winery with a long tradition of winemaking going back to 1790 in Penedès. Now in its 3rd generation, the Cusiné family works biodynamically (Demeter certified), dedicated to the cultivation of the land for generations to come.
Since the 1990’s, Joan, Josep, María Elena and Marta have met the challenge of weaving tradition with innovation. This renaissance includes cover crops, green harvest, use of clay amphorae and demijohns, and, to promote biodiversity, an integration of animals in the field such as sheep and goats, as well as bees for pollination to create a more sustainable ecosystem.
In addition to producing a full range of organic wines and cava, under their direction, the range of wines has expanded with the inclusion of native varietals such as Sumoll and Malvasia de Sitges.
