Enric Soler

Enric Soler, a former Spanish sommelier of the year who inherited a small parcel and farmhouse in Alt-Penedès from his grandfather in 2004. Enric has been recuperating and revitalizing old vine Xarel·lo(planted in 1945) and handcrafting exhilarating, age-worthy wines ever since.

Xarel·lo, essential to the traditional Cava blend, provides balanced acidity and aromatics, but shares the spotlight with Macabeo and Parellada.

On its own, Enric showcases Xarel·lo's expressive nature and electric essence, securing its place as a vital addition to the Spanish winescape and the world.

Today, Enric and his wife, Mercè, farm just under four total hectares by hand using biodynamic practices, minimum intervention and vessel experimentation in the cellar.

“Following the recovery of the old Xarel·lo grapevines, several lands have been selected and repopulated with the original Vinya dels Taus clone. During these years, work has been carried out enthusiastically so as to procure white wines that are vibrant and electric, with pure aromas and the body/persistence of wines for aging.” Enric Soler
