Yet another fabulous effort from young upstart José Gil, Viñedos en Labastida is a village wine composed of fruit from two vineyards (45 years and 80 years old respectively). Organically farmed grapes are hand-harvested, destemmed, co-fermentation in concrete vessels, and matured for 11 months in French oak. The result is a wine of finesse and herbaceous Rioja earth, floral and dark fruit juicy - vibrant and exhilarating.
