Vinos Indar is an indie operation run by the natural winemaker Manuel Requena, who for the past twenty years has been cranking out fundamental, uncompromising wines from roughly eight hectares of vineyards in La Mancha.  La Pelá is fashioned from the family’s oldest vineyard planted in 1935 by Manuel’s great great grandfather.  La Pelá gets just two days of skin contact, fermentation with native yeasts in stainless steel, and aged in cement tanks for about ten months.  A limited production vino (900 bottles), natty and wild, orange depth, peachy with apricots and quince, brimming with zip and vigor.
