A smoky and dark fruity tinto from the Lecea family whose cellars were built by ancestors of the 16th century.  Don Rufino Lecea Blanco was the first to bottle the wines under the family name in the 1980s.  Rioja Alta styled vino with a few modifications – whole cluster, gravity to tank, aged in stainless steel.  With a bit of bottle age under its belt, drinking harmoniously.
