The 2021 Las Iruelas comes from a single parcel of 60+ year-old vines at 1000m alt. The soils are complex and mixed (granite, slate, schist, quartz, and clay) setting the stage for an enigmatic wine. Mineral-loaded and deep, super floral and aromatic – garrigue – quite shy now. This will need some additional bottle aging before it becomes perhaps the ultimate expression of glorious Gredos garnacha.
