A new project from René Barbier, Sara Pérez, Mercè Salvat and Oriol Pérez de Tudela.  From a small parcel of 65-year-old Cartoixà Vermell, the very rare Catalan grape also known as red-skinned Xarel.lo from the village of Escabeces.  In making the wine, it presents as a rosado, but is vinified as a tinto with long skin maceration (about 1 month).  Aged in ceramic containers for 6 months, followed by and 18-month élevage in neutral barrels.  Orange, tropical, pink grapefruit, stony minerality.  Floral, herbal, and wild – a truly dense and complex orange vino.
