Miguel Merino is a small, family-run bodega in Briones. Under the radar, but able to hang with the best wine producers in Haro.  Miguel Jr. and his wife Erika have taken over operations from his folks, farming 14 hectares of vineyards. This Gran Reserva is sourced from vines planted in the 1960s and 70s, fermented in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts, and then matured in used French and American oak barrels for three years.  Floral, bright cherry, balsamic - juicy and gorgeous.
