Puro Rofe, a project started by winemaker Rayco Fernández, with the goal of revitalization and recuperation of the vines from the unique terroir of Lanzarote.  The pure, volcanic rock juice of 100+ year old vines on black, sandy soils is ever so apparent here in this lucky grab of the first vintage for this blanco.  Well-evolved, ever so aromatic and mineral-rich, flinty, saline bites. At this stage, the wine is in such a groove – citrus, caramel, ginger – succulent, simply amazing.
