It’s only natural that a professor of oenology at the University of Rioja also makes his own wine.  In this case, five hectares of prime Rioja Alta land for centenary Garnacha and Tempranillo.  Fruit was sourced from the Centenario vineyard, hand-harvested, fermented and aged in French oak for about a year.  Structured and lush, dark fruits, old vine intensity, fine tannins and smooth acidity – darling.
