Single parcel high alt. (540-680m) village wine from phenom José Gil, from a mere half hectare of the choicest fruit of La Canoca vineyard, 50-year-old vines of mostly Tempranillo grapes.  Hand-harvested, destemmed, natural yeast fermentation, followed by 11 months maturation in French oak.  Herbal, bright red and black fruit, pepper and spice, mineral core, fine grained tannins - dynamic presence, cellaring rewards.
